Calculator Review

Scope and Sources

General calculators use established electrical and electronics relationships such as Ohm's law, AC power equations, ideal transformer ratios, reactance, and stored energy. A calculator based on a code table or regulatory requirement will not be published until its jurisdiction, edition, source table, and limitations are documented.

Updates and Corrections

Calculator and guide pages display a reviewed date. A material formula, unit, assumption, or safety correction should update that date. Minor typography and navigation changes may not.

Suspected errors can be reported through the contact page. Reports should include the page, inputs, observed result, expected result, and supporting formula or source when available.

Independence and Advertising

Advertising does not determine calculator results, formulas, recommendations, or editorial conclusions. Advertisements must be visually distinguishable from calculator controls and must not be positioned to encourage accidental clicks.

Technical Responsibility

Review improves reliability but does not turn a general calculator into an installation design, code determination, equipment approval, or professional engineering service.
