Scientific Calculator

Tap keys, type directly, or use your keyboard. The keypad inserts into the field you are currently using.

Memory: 0

Calculus

Use these when you need numerical calculus. The keypad still works in any field that has focus.

Scientific mode

Use the calculator display above for expression entry. Supported functions include sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, sqrt, ln, log, exp, fact, abs, Ans, and memory M.

Algebra

Solve common algebra problems with steps and clean results. This is the part most people expect from a Mathway-style page.

Linear equation

Solve ax + b = c.

Quadratic equation

Solve ax² + bx + c = 0.

2x2 system

Solve two linear equations in two unknowns.

Graph and Solve

Plot one or two functions, inspect their shape, and numerically find x values where the expression equals zero or where two graphs intersect.

Graph f(x)

The graph will appear here after you plot a function.

Examples

This tool uses numerical calculus, not full symbolic algebra. It is intended for quick checks, not proof-level derivations.

How It Works

Scientific mode

Evaluates expressions with trig functions, powers, roots, logs, constants, and parentheses.

Derivative mode

f'(x) ≈ [f(x+h) - f(x-h)] ÷ 2h

Integral mode

∫ f(x)dx ≈ Simpson's rule over the requested interval.

Trig support

Choose degrees or radians. Forward trig uses the selected angle unit; inverse trig returns angles in the same unit.

Math Solver FAQ

Does it handle trig?

Yes. Degrees and radians are supported, along with inverse trig.

Can I use a keypad?

Yes. The page has a calculator-style keypad with memory and quick insert buttons.

Can I find roots?

Yes. The equation solver searches an interval and returns roots numerically.

Is graphing interactive?

Yes. You can plot one or two functions, inspect a table, and search for intersections.
